On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Press and Online Media Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina held a session of its Complaints Commission via the Zoom platform to decide on citizens’ complaints regarding content published in print and online media.
The session was attended by all seven members of the Complaints Commission: Prof. dr Lejla Turčilo, Suzana Mijatović, Dražena Peranić, Dražen Zubak, Vuk Vučetić, Igor Popović, and Davor Trlin, alongside the Council’s Complaints Officer, Mirjana Jovović, and Project Coordinator, Maida Bahto Kestendžić.
The agenda included three complaints received between February and April 2026. In all three cases, the Complaints Commission found a breaches of the Press and Online Media of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The following complaints were considered during the session:
- Džermin Pašić – istraga.ba, regarding the article: “Due to suspicious conduct in Sky cases: Džermin Pašić removed from the position of Head of the Organized Crime Department. He will work on war crimes in the future!” published on March 7, 2026;
- Džermin Pašić – avaz.ba, regarding the article: “Due to suspicious conduct in Sky cases: Džermin Pašić removed from the position of Head of the Organized Crime Department. He will work on war crimes in the future!” published on March 7, 2026;
- BS TELECOM SOLUTIONS d.o.o. via legal representative Dino Duraković (DMB Partners) – istraga.ba, regarding the article: “Due to ‘server failure’: Surveillance cameras in the derailed tram were not working. Last recordings date back to November last year!” published on February 19, 2026.
The session of the Complaints Commission was organized within the project “Building Trust in Media in South East Europe: Support to Journalism as a Public Good,” implemented by UNESCO and the EU. The project aims to strengthen media self-regulation and enhance professional journalistic standards within a challenging media environment.
