The Press and Online Media Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina held a session of its Complaints Commission on June 10, 2026, via the Zoom platform, during which complaints submitted by citizens concerning the reporting of print and online media were reviewed.
The session was attended by all seven members of the Complaints Commission: Lejla Turčilo, PhD, Suzana Mijatović, Dražena Peranić, Dražen Zubak, Vuk Vučetić,PhD, Igor Popović, MA, and Davor Trlin, PhD as well as the Press Council’s Complaints Officer, Mirjana Jovović and Project Coordinator, Maida Bahto Kestendžić.
The agenda included two complaints submitted between April and June 2026. The Complaints Commission found a breach of the Press and Online Media Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina in one case, while determining that the provisions of the Code had not been breached in the other.
The session of the Complaints Commission was organised within the framework of the UNESCO/EU-funded project “Building Trust in Media in South East Europe: Support to Journalism as a Public Good.” The project aims to strengthen media self-regulation and promote high professional journalistic standards in an increasingly challenging media environment.
